The Perfect Day

The perfect day sounds a little cliche or even unrealistic, but I have the pictures to prove it. Mark needed to go help Uncle Greg re-roof the house so we tagged along. The men started to work immediately and we decided they needed a supervising crew so we sat outside on the back of the truck with Aunt 'Chelle's puppies.

If you know of anyone that wants a little puppy these Miniature Schnauzer's are great! Adorable and great with the kids! Call me, I'll get you hooked up with a new pup!
Amy and Cody goofing off in the field!Luke got really frustrated that the dandelion wouldn't "explode"!Typical Amy!

The men hard at work. Michael, Brandon, Mark and Greg.Flex 'Em Uncle Greg!
Measure twice, cut once.... motto of the day, right!?!?!
Oh yeah baby, POWER TOOLS! Sexy hubby!
"The Rock" -aka Michael... Ladies, he's just 16 - back off, I'm way protective of my nieces and nephews.
Amy and Cody.

Time for a little fishing break!Michael was the first to catch a 'big' one!

Then came Luke's first fish. I can't say that I have ever experienced such happiness. Seeing his excitement and hearing his little voice yell that he finally caught a fish was just about more than my little heart could take! I seriously cried when I got home and went back through the pictures. Pure joy. Of course going through the pictures is almost like a movie...I took 400 pictures yesterday!!!
Even the DIVA caught a fish! But she was still scared of it!!!!
The Queen DIVA did too! ;) Ha ha! I even squished my own worm!
OK, so all the fish were tiny but we had a blast none the less!!! (And we threw them all back!) Here comes Cody's first fish!!

Yeah!! Go Cody! I'm not sure who enjoyed the fishing more, Cody or Aunt 'Chelle holding Cody. He was SHAKING with excitement! I'm surprised I even got a clear picture of him. It was so cute. He could not sit still! Cody the "Fish Whisperer" lol!Uncle Greg and his little buddy. No one compares to Uncle Greg. Unless you've hunted dinosaurs on your own property, shot an alligator in your pond, wrestled a bear, killed a snake with your bare hands or hunted hippos, I don't think your gonna come close...

And finally, the day wouldn't be complete without smores by the campfire.

My sweet family. I love you with all my heart.

Looks like you had a wonderful day with your family. I remember taking my kids fishing when they were little and the excitement of their first catch! Thanks for rekindling those memories. Happy shooting.
